M. William Was Validated as Mago

M. William Sheehan

My genealogically learned sister is my source of facts. That is she told me the facts. Or, I may have taken them from her genealogically precise blog of our family history. So, this information from my sister, Gerry Hook and is interpreted by me.
               M. William Sheehan, the man I have called Mago Bill was born in Ireland in 1839, precisely 100 years before my sister was born in Wayne County, Michigan. He died in the U.S. in 1912. He married Mary J. Carroll in 1860 in Des Moines county, Iowa. Mary was a well loved and respected woman, mother, and wife. She was born in Ireland in 1841. and died in Iowa in 1902. She was the daughter of Martin Carroll and his wife Margaret. Mary Carroll had two sisters in the US. One wa s Bridget born in 1843 and died tn 1910. She married Daniel Madden. The other was Julia Carroll born in 1848 (California gold) and die in 1932. She married Edward Kackin. Madden and Mackin were interested in politics and the union movement, but all we need to remember is that M. William Sheehan became Mago Bill because he was born Mago.
