Our Economic Situation

Citizen Abdication from governance and what we might now call state capitalism. Capital also now moves around the world to where profit is more easily available. Jobs move with capital. Jobs are more available to those who work more cheaply. In countries like the USA the middle class and upper working class disappears. Many suffer their degradement without will to govern a few, but in growing numbers chose to leave their country rather than take part in its governance. Capital power moves with capital. Some of that wealth and power has its source in state capitalism. That is they take state wealth with them often in the form of money from taxes. Citizens seem not to care what is done with their money or their labor. They continue to resist participation. They refuse to even speak of it.

Bernie Sanders & Robert Reich discuss how we defeat Republicans' horrid ...

They are talking about what is being done to us right now. When we refuse to do, we are done. Done to. Not ye finished off. When we refuse to govern ourselves, we are at he mercy of those willing to do so.  Find out what social organization is. We need organization. We are the potential grassroots. If we stay in the seed bag, we do not grow. Money is not a good excuse.

Truth as a Common Good with Robert Reich

We started down in the early 60s and began to crash in the late 70s. Through it all we left it to the hands of God. The old people told me that God helps those who help themselves. A part of helping ourselves is not abrogating our responsibility for governance.  We learn by doing.

Will Rogers Said.........

Will Rogers is an interesting guy from our recent history.

He is often funny and smart. Check him out online; Wikipedia is a good place to start.

Below are a few things he has said that I have enjoyed. Bet you can find a quote here that you enjoy:

~ "Ten men in the country could buy the world and 10 million can't buy enough to eat."

~ There is one thing in common with all revolutions, nobody knows what they are fighting about.

~ "This would be a great time in the world for some man to come along that knew something."

~ We don't have to worry about anything . No nation in the world was ever sitting so pretty. If we want anything, all we have to do is buy it on credit."

~ Villains are getting as thick as college degrees. and sometimes one the same fellow."

~ When the judgement day comes, civilization will have an alibi, 'I never took a human life, I only sold the fellow the gun to take it with."

~ "We shouldn't elect a president, we should elect a magician."

~  "...the most unemployed or the hungriest man in America has contributed in some way to the wealth of every millionaire in America. It was the big boys themselves who thought that this financial drunk we are going through was going to last forever. They over-merged and over capitalized and over-everything else. That's the fix we are in now."

~ "Who considers the poor billionaire?"

Don't blame me for the quotes. Will Rogers said it.
Some people thought that Will was some kind of cowboy others thought he was some kind of Indian. You can learn a lot about the USA by learning about him.

These Will Rogers quotes come here from RCS Posts. There is more to see and to read at RCS Posts. You can go directly to RCS Posts by clicking on this blue  RCS Posts.
